Fast FDTD

Photon Design has released the new version of OmniSim and CrystalWave.

New Features for version 4.6:

  • Both the OmniSim & CrystalWave FDTD Engine is now even faster on computers equipped with more than one multicore processors.
  • Excitors with rectangular pulse, rectangular rise or more general user input function for the time envelope.
  • Excitors with linear, exponential or more general chirp.
  • 3D Bandsolver will now make use of vertical symmetry in the device for 2D lattices when calculating the band diagram. There is a speed increase in the presence of this symmetry and TE and TM bands can be solved and plotted separately.
