FIMMWAVE v8.0
- Network and remote access license features have been extended to allow remote connection to the FIMMWAVE command line via TCP/IP (cloud and Python scripts) from any computer on the same class C subnet as the computer running FIMMWAVE.
- Added a "far-field calculator" command line that can be used to obtain the far-field of any field profile.
- Improved multi-threaded calculations during taper evaluation and when FIMMPROP evaluates devices with Reference Sections, resulting in faster calculations.
- Added the ability to display the progress when FIMMPROP evaluates the scattering matrix of a device.
- You can now select a weighting function when creating and calculating a 1D effective refractive index profile from a 2D waveguide using the "Inspect Mode Panel".
- The taper algorithm for "integrationOrder=One" has been improved, improving calculation accuracy.
