CBS Inc. is thrilled to announce the latest release of PICWave 6.2.0 from Photon Design, bringing new features and significant improvements to enhance your photonics design process.
What’s New in PICWave 6.2.0?
This update introduces several exciting features and enhancements:
- Improvements to the grating model, including improved accuracy of the Kappa Calculator
- The new ‘MOLAB filters’ feature allows waveguide modes to be filtered/sorted according to the mode data parameters e.g. confinement factor
- Enabled definition of optical/electrical signals using arbitrary time-dependent expressions
- Improvements to the electro-absorption model, including the ability to define saturation effects for voltage-dependent models imported from Harold QCSE
- Extended command-line support and support for use of expressions/named variables to define parameters
- New standard examples, including EPIPPROP-PICWave link (effect of AWG reflections on DFBs), SLED, LIDAR
